Google Workspace Partial Implementation: A Tested Approach

Publication Date: 2024.10.18

Introducing new tools, especially in the workplace, can be both exciting and challenging. With Google Workspace, you can ease the transition using a phased adoption strategy or by starting with a 30-day free trial through TS Cloud. This flexibility allows you to test the waters without immediately committing to a full-scale deployment.

Concerns When Introducing New Tools

Introducing new tools like Google Workspace often raises concerns about whether all employees can efficiently use them and whether the investment is worth it. Additionally, unpredictable transition costs can create financial strain, making careful decision-making essential for businesses.

Phased Implementation for a Smooth Transition

Google Workspace offers a flexible adoption process called Partial Implementation. This phased approach allows organizations to gradually introduce the platform, fostering familiarity within the workforce before a complete rollout. By adding accounts over time, companies can explore and adjust to Google Workspace’s extensive features without disrupting ongoing operations.

Experience a Comprehensive 30-Day Free Trial

While partial implementation is ideal for cautious decision-makers, the free trial also provides an opportunity to explore Google Workspace’s capabilities. While Google officially offers a 14-day trial, TS Cloud extends this to 30 days, giving more time to evaluate the platform’s features.

During the free trial, organizations can access many popular tools, such as Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, and collaborative platforms like Docs, Sheets, and Slides, as well as Google Meet. Keep in mind that some advanced functionalities might be restricted during the trial.

Trial User Limits

If opting for a free trial through TS Cloud, you will need at least five accounts to get started. In contrast, a trial directly through Google allows up to 10 users before requiring billing information. Be cautious about exceeding this limit, as adding users without proper setup may result in unintended charges.

What Happens After the Free Trial?

If payment information is entered during the trial, your Google Workspace account will automatically transition to a paid subscription once the trial ends. For a smooth switch, follow Google’s predefined steps—no additional actions are required.

However, if no payment information has been set up, your account will be terminated at the end of the trial. Although the Admin Console and stored data will remain accessible, email and storage services will be unavailable until billing is activated.

Options for Paid Implementation

There are two ways to subscribe to Google Workspace:

A. Direct Contract with Google

You can purchase Google Workspace directly through Google’s website, which includes only self-guided setup and limited support. Payment is typically restricted to credit card transactions.

B. Contract with an Authorized Reseller

Google-certified resellers like TS Cloud offer additional benefits, such as consulting services, technical support, and flexible payment methods like invoicing. This can be particularly advantageous for corporate clients in Asia, where invoicing is a common business practice.
